THANQUE for the interesting info New Guy Paul

I was just a wee bit concerned that you were going to do a lot of work and spend a lot of dosh to build a car that you wouldn’t be able to run anywhere at any time is all.

I hope you have fun, are safe and your motor remains happy with this exercise in alternate fuels.
Keep us posted…

All good, thanks for asking questions, it's what makes us all enlightened.

For kicks, here are some pics

Old car, 95 GTI VR6 went 12.83@106 like this with a bone stock bottom end, naturally aspirated 2450lbs

I commentated a VW Nationals here a couple of years ago. In between naps and yawns while the flat-fours were polluting the track with oil and internals, I actually saw a few pf these modern V6 thingumys running. From memory they were 32-something-or-others. Indecently quick and impressive.
Have fun,
Mick

R32? Those run low 14's stock and can scoot pretty well with serious work. The engine in mine is similar to that engine, just updated. Wish mine had the cast crank like those do. Had the 3.2 in the purple car, went 12.90 on the 2nd hit.
