I got tired of replacing GO Pro's when things when bad. A crash can cost you $400.00 with ease. So I started looking around for alternatives. I found the Mobi but there was something about it that I didn't like. Then I found the Runcam HD. For $120.00, it delivers video the same quality as any Go Pro and is 1/4 the cost. Here's a video from the Runcam strapped (with rubber bands) to the tail of an SAB Goblin Helicopter. Unit came with velcro straps, adhesive pads, a mounting tray and extra battery... This is the Runcam 2. They have other models so you might want to check them out at http://www.runcam.com

Here's a short video

Contour Roam 3

I've been using a couple of these for datalogging on The Short Bus as well as for videos when road testing.

Cheap, compact and in my opinion, very good value for money.

Most importantly, they're very easy to use.

And their website: http://contour.com/cameras/roam3

Here's one video that I recorded at 1080HD.
