All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. So we know that Racing isn't a "HOBBY" with anyone here. So in your "off time" what do you do to unwind? Fish, Ride Motorcycles, Bowling, Paint? Let's hear about your favorite thing to do when you don't have to do anything else.

Hobbies

I got to thinking that we spend a tremendous amount of time working on our race projects. But we also need to have some time to unwind and blow the cobwebs out of our heads. I know that there are a lot of you guys who have interesting pasttimes so I thought it would be nice to see and read about what you do to have fun OTHER than racing/building/tuning etc. Photos are a mandatory here. Let's see what you do!

Boss, I don't know if I can post many pics. I've got two active teenage kids so most of my free time chasing kids. The extra time I do have I spend in the gym (making sure I fit in the car) or playing tennis. Before my child raising days I used to be somewhat of an artist.

Attached, a couple photos from days gone by.

That's Awesome work Daniel. Thanks for being the first poster. Very nice work IT looks like Pastel? Is that right? tell us a bit about it. (If that's pastel, I'm even MORE impressed. Could never quite figure it out.)

Do you think I should break down into catregories? ART, PHOTOS, ETc.? MIght be interesting to have it compartmentalized like that. What say you folks!

First is pastel second is chalk and charcoal. They were from my college portfolio when I was an art major. After a year I quickly realized I was an "artist" according to the establishment. For me it wasn't about the conveyance of an emotion as it was the desire to create. I didn't fit the mold so I became an engineer.

I still do it from time to time but mostly it's racing related. Putting together a rendering for someone building a car or honoring a hero. Love watercolors and markers. Airbrushed for a little while but it requires to much patience.

I don't know, we are a group and it's the different backgrounds that makes this group interesting.

For me it's darts. Played for the county in the past, now play for the town team in the County Superleague.

This is great stuff. Why don't you guys start your own personal thread and upload your photos there. THis way we have "Danielb210's Hobbies", "Pdog's Hobbies", "Big Al's Hobbies" etc.

This way, we don't have just one giant thread.

Thanks, I find this to be very interesting.

Hmm..starting my own thread sounds like I'm stroking my already inflated ego, and I don't like to come off sounding too full of myself. So I'll post a quick lot here.

These are actually excuses for why my fed isn't faster.
Work kills a lot of my time:

Working out kills a bunch more:

My ornery British motorcycle takes up time cussing at leaks, dead batteries, and broken magneto drives:
